Netbooks
Has anyone here purchased a netbook from overseas? I'm thinking specifically Hong Kong (trying to save $). Are there any places you'd recommend as being reasonable, reliable and reputable? Basically I'm after a good, solid netbook with decent battery life that'll work for word processing, internet and Photoshop-related stuff.
Any help or recommendations very much appreciated.

The Nook opens on Johnston St
A new vintage shop called Nook opened recently on Johnston St next door to Used. It"s great to see the east end of Johnston St gradually coming to life. I was also curious to see that the Indian restaurant Tandoori Station that opened in the space of the former Guru da Dhaba has changed to become the "Fitzroy curry house". I did wonder what Tandoori food had to do with the Buddhist images on the walls inside. Not much, apparently. The former Sukhothai has also become an Indian restaurant. I"ll have to reopen voting on "the best Indian restaurant in Fitzroy".
Is Retin-A by prescription only in Australia? And does it go by that name or another? pbs.gov.au turns up nothing. If it's an Rx drug, would a GP be able to prescribe it or would I get referred to a dermatologist?

Free Stuff!
So, I am looking at getting rid of 1 double bed (powder coated steel, wooden slats), and 1 Single loft bed (tromso) www.ikeafans.com/forums/ikea-instructions/4791-tromso-loft-bed-full-instructions-3.html Both are quite easy to assemble, and both are available for free pick up required, near the camberwell station area. (not that I advise moving them via train) Pick up would be awesome before Thursday. First in gets the goodies.

Monash, Caulfield
Anyone here studies at Monash, Caulfield? I'm going back to study this year and don't know anyone here yet. I went to the O-week tents and suddenly it hit me, that it would be nice to meet people and make new friends. So, I'm studying psychology and doing graduate training in psychodrama, I'm a film geek and into all things art (visual art/performance art/theatre/literature/etc).
I'm ridiculously anxious, as I'm returning to study at Monash, so please tell me university will be ok, feel free to offer tips and I would be happy to meet you at Caulfield.
